The main goal of Zotfest is to showcase the talent of UC Irvine filmmakers, as well as provide an opportunity to connect with peers, faculty, alumni, and invited guests through a shared passion for film. We hope to establish what is now just a small community of artists into a successful network of filmmakers, bringing recognition to an unrepresented university. Zotfest will strive to not only celebrate the accomplishments of our peers, but also expose their talents to the rest of the film industry.
Zotfest Film Festival strives to screen the finest films from students at the University of California, Irvine! All genres including but not limited to Drama, Comedy, Documentary, Animation and Music Video are welcomed and accepted.
Zotfest is a student-organized film festival located at the beautiful University of California, Irvine. Previously known as Xzotica, directors of the Zotfest committee organize together ambitious students from various college majors into a productive atmosphere that works to bring life to UC Irvine's film community. In the collaboration between leaders of two active campus clubs, Zotfilm and FADA (Film-Art-Drama alliance), Zotfest has become a life of its own that constantly operates with the filmmakers at UC Irvine in mind. We are also proud to be working with supportive faculty members, other on-campus organizations, and outside sponsors who are enthusiastic about our mission.
